THE QUESTION

What's the impact of the EPA's warning on public health?

Do you think EPA's finding that greenhouse gases endanger public health will prod Congress to agree on its own method for limiting emissions? If not, what do you think would be the environmental and economic impact of the EPA regulations? Will this convince other countries that the U.S. is likely to make deep cuts in carbon in the near future?

Any economy or job killing regulations proposed by EPA will simply speed up the pace of the growing crowed of lemmings following Odumbo over the cliff in 2010.

Cap and Tax won't pass either. Dandb3 has it right: we love to say the French have the best health care system and why can't we duplicate here? BUT the environmental handwringers don't think the same of the French power system, which get 80 percent of its electricity from nuclear plants.

The Copenhagen Diagnosis, 2009: Updating the world on the Latest Climate Science. Has again indicated urgency in action is imperative. Here's my solution and immediate areas of impact.

RE : The solution to climate change.
( human excrement + nuclear waste = hydrogen )
The USA discharges Trillions of tons of sewage annually, sufficient quantity to sustain electrical generation requirements of the USA.
Redirecting existing sewage systems to containment facilities would be a considerable infrastructure modification project.
It is the intense radiation that causes the conversion of organic material into hydrogen, therefore what some would consider the most dangerous waste because of its radiation would be the best for this utilization.
I believe the combination of clean water and clean air, will increase the life expectancy of humans.
The four main areas of concern globally are energy, food, water and air!
The radiologic decomposing of organic materials generates Hydrogen
By using our sewage as a source of energy we also get clean air , clean water, and no ethanol use of food stocks. Eat food first, create energy after.
Simply replacing the fossil fuel powered electrical generating facilities with these plants, would reduce CO2 emissions, and CH4 emissions, to acceptable levels, globally.
This would require a completely new reactor facility capable of converting human waste into hydrogen and then burning the hydrogen to generate electricity on site.
This solution is sellable to citizens because of all the side issue solutions. I've been able to convince most simply with concept of using nuclear waste to a productive end.
Superbugs ( antibiotic resistant ) apparently are created in the waters sewage is discharged into, which is one more side issue solution.
Anything not converting into hydrogen will potentially be disposed of using Transmutation.
The water emitted from hydrogen burning will have uses in leaching heavy metals from other contaminated site clean ups.
I thank you for your consideration, please feel free to contact me anytime.

The EPA is choosing the harder more complicated method that does not solve the problem.

New technology, jobs and money are not the solution; they continue the same employment lifestyle that pollutes our air, land, water and food leading to disease and death. It leads to corruption, bribery etc. like the Climate Change ideas in Copenhagen.

http://divine-way.com/solution_for_un_climate_change_conference_in_copenhagen_dec_2009.html

The United Nations Climate Change Conference process is
COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE and DANGEROUS to the TRUE GOALS.

Reducing CO2 emissions cuts growth capacity of plants necessary for SURVIVAL.

Signing a BINDING AGREEMENT under United Nations takes away FREEDOM.

Promising poor nations money to sign a binding agreement is bribery to take their authority to govern their resources leading to conflicts and wars.

CAP and TRADE is a loophole for rich nations to avoid compliance and
it invites and creates bribery, corruption, bondage and servitude.

The employment lifestyle causes the world problems.
A garden paradise lifestyle would reverse and solve them easily, quickly, fairly and inexpensively. It is the only sustainable lifestyle that reverses and solves the pollution of our air, land, water and food, energy crisis, disease, war, immigration, reoccurring financial crises, and social problems including youth and elderly care.

The Employment Lifestyle Failed. The Garden Paradise Life Wins.
Let's Learn the Lesson Now.

I fear Congress will stall as long as possible, not because the realization of carbon emmisions is in doubt, but because there is a great expense attached to rectifying the condition of the air, plus there will no doubt be a great criticism concerning a rule in which cannot be enforced. The condition the air will be improved only slowly according to the manufacturers change in technique, this could be seen as 10-20 years in the completion. In the meantime these harmful gases places a harmful factor risk on the status of the health of all people, this is a major reason everyone should have a affordable health plan, in the year of 2010 rather than four years from now.

This so called global warming,Is nothing more than,A money scam,Chicken little gore,Is crying the sky is falling,And the weak minding people is falling for it,This reminds me of the 1960's,Flower child,It has been proven it is a scam,And scam is nothing more than a lie,I was told years ago,That a sucker is born every min.And seven to take to take him for a ride.

The EPA needs to do it's job, which is protect the public health regardless of the politics surrounding it. bush tried to kill the EPA and now it is free to run the course it was created for, protect the American people and the world from human excess and poison.

The EPA has over stepped it's authority, becoming yet another example of environmental extremism, and Obama will be made to pay for kowtowing to political science. This is purely nonsense and defies all scientific knowledge of the role and impact of CO2 on the environment and the EPA's declaration that it is a pollutant dangerous to health. Even against advice given by it's own technical staff, the political appointee of the EPA marched down that blind road of political correctness. Wake up and smell the CO2; Oh, sorry, can't do that: CO2 is an orderless, tasteless, colorless non toxic greenhouse gas. It is not a pollutant, never has been never will be.

Climate change is real and it is here now. That is beyond a doubt. Reading the many comments on various blogs and concerning various articles on climate change it brings to light the "mixed" feelings about the subject. I fear that no matter what is said or the evidence may prove, the nay sayers are going to go right on shouting that it is all a big put up by various scientists and groups pushing an agenda which unfortunately might be true, but which does not alter the fact that the green house effect caused by human activities IS happening and the effects are going to become more pronounced. The fact of the matter is the effects of green house gases on climate warming has made climate warming a billion ton train we are trying to stop with shoe power. It has taken centuries of uncontrolled emissions of green house gases into the atmosphere to get the engine of climate and ocean warming really going and to stop it and reverse this drive is going to take much more effort and sacrifice than most people, most companies and most nations are willing to give. So the end result is going to be more rapid warming of the atmosphere and oceans, more rapid melting of the polar ice caps and glaciers, rising sea levels much faster and sooner than is currently predicted, more health problems in our population in the way of breathing difficulties and eventually more wars as countries fight over declining food, declining sources of fresh water and clean air.

This is a clear path which, to me at least, is something that is going to be very difficult to avoid by our "leaders" at all levels. This reminds me of the story of the little Dutch boy trying to plug the holes in the dike with his fingers and finding to many holes to plug by himself. I just wish that the United States population did not have such a history of ignoring warning signals prior to being hit by the onrushing train of war or difficult times. The train is coming down the track, moving very fast now with no engineer at the controls to apply the brakes. The crossing is filled with traffic and the collision imminent.

The EPA's ruling is terminally flawed and will be overturned in court. The ruling makes thirty-five edicts, of which twenty-four are based on disputed data from the IPCC and the CRU that were based on modified or faked data. Only eleven were from other sources.

Most damning, however, are the EPA and IPCC's worst case conclusions. They say that if nothing is done to prevent global warming within the next one hundred years the world's sea levels will rise by one foot (Not the twenty feet in twenty years promised by Al Gore), and the world's temperatures would rise by as much as 0.7 degrees. Considering that the sea levels have risen by more than one foot in the past one hundred years and nobody even noticed, that is not cataclysmic. And, increasing world temperatures would prolong the world's growing cycle and make food more abundant. They also conclude that if nothing is done 150,000 people could die annually as a result of warming. Currently more than 5,000,000 people die annually as a result of hunger and poverty, and the IPCC and EPA's proposed fixes would actually increase that number of deaths by making virtually everything, including food, more expensive.

Consequently, global warming may be more of a boon to mankind, than a disaster.

Lisa Jackson is a pawn and a cheap political hack. Her actions are an attempt to circumvent the will of Congress and the constitutional power of the Senate to approve foreign treaties. It is no surprise she came from Taxacussets.

The arrogance of the administration knows no bounds. It is the reason they were unable to pass any major legislation this year. The EPA ruling is an unnecessary gift to the Republicans - for they will ultimately benefit politically from this example of Chicago-style politics.

The administration is rapidly losing support from independents and moderates. The EPA ruling and the escalation of the permanent occupation forces in Afghanistan will backfire. Obama is hopelessly out of touch with the electorate.

If we weren't obsessed with "fear", we'd build nuclear power plants thus creating engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance jobs while REALLY cleaning up the environment!
