Obama Needs to Show Global Leadership

While congratulating President Obama on winning the Nobel Peace Prize, from the perspective of tackling the climate change problem he has yet to show the global leadership he promised.

Coincidentally the timing of the award ceremony in Oslo in December will be almost exactly when nearly 200 hundred countries will be meeting close by in Copenhagen to hammer out the new post 2012 climate change agreement.

One hopes the Nobel award will spur him to go to Copenhagen from Oslo and show true global leadership (and not look to domestic barriers only) on this issue which transcends national interests as no other.
