Obama huddles with world leaders

COPENHAGEN -- Delegates from 193 countries are gathered in the plenary hall here for the morning session of the final day of the global climate-change conference. But the start time was delayed as President Obama huddled for an emergency meeting with world leaders in an uphill attempt to cobble together a last-minute deal.
According to White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, the officials Obama met with are:
Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd
United Kingdom Prime Minister Gordon Brown
French President Nicolas Sarkozy
Danish Prime Minister Lars L. Rasmussen
German Chancellor Angela Merkel
European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso
Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei
Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
Brazilian President Luiz Lula da Silva
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
South African President Jacob Zuma
Mexican President Felipe Calderon
Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak
Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg
Colombian President Alvaro Uribe
Obama had originally planned to meet with the Danish prime minister before speaking at the morning plenary session, then sit down for one-on-one sessions with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and da Silva, of Brazil, before participating in the afternoon plenary session. His late-afternoon schedule included a meeting with Medvedev. The White House said his departure time for Washington is "to be determined"--presumably because the president could extend his stay if necessary to seal a deal.
