U.S. climate envoy calls for countries to make pledges

U.S. climate envoy Todd Stern called on the nations of the world Thursday to identify how they would cut their greenhouse gas emissions by Jan. 31, the deadline for registering climate pledges under the new Copenhagen Accord.

Environmentalists reject scaled-back energy bill
