The Cause of a Champion
It is a sad day when America lays to rest a champion. For his untiring years of devotion to the American people, Sen. Kennedy was indeed a champion. Even growing up in Canada I was well aware of the Kennedy family and their place in both American politics and American history.
As a proponent of health-care reform since moving to the United States I have been encouraged and delighted by Sen. Ted Kennedy's commitment to champion this issue. It is my belief that his efforts have paved the way for the movement towards accessible health care for all Americans that is underway today.
His death is untimely and is a huge loss for Americans, however, his impact on health-care reform will continued to be felt.
