A new wrinkle
It's hard to comment on exactly how the outcome of the election in Massachusetts impacts health-care reform, but it certainly adds a new wrinkle. I will say that the condition of our health-care system is the same today as it was yesterday. There is much in our system to be proud of; however, we still have tens of millions of people in this country who are unable to access affordable health care. I believe that this must change. I also believe that our economic health is undermined by our poor health as a society and that the health-care reform debate needs to include policies that get at this underlying issue.
