Deadlines are necessary
How many of us wait until April 15 to pay our taxes? Without a deadline, we would probably wait even longer.

It seems to be all about access
I'll admit it...I don't know all the details of the health reform legislation. But then again, who really does? But from most accounts, it seems as if most of the measures are geared towards improving access and not reducing costs....

This Does Not Constitute a Physician-Patient Relationship
I often jokingly preface my comments with my friends and co-workers when they ask for medical advice (and yes...every physician has been asked for free advice at some point!) that "this does not constitute a physician-patient relationship."

Health Care Delayed is Health Care Denied
My fear is that more time will not lead to more consensus but rather more contentiousness which threatens reform. The President as well as all the general public need to keep the healthcare debate alive, and focus on getting some reform this year. Don't be fooled into thinking that waiting is a good approach. We've been waiting too long for substantive reform and now is the time to do it.
