What have we learned about Obama's leadership style, and his strengths and weaknesses as a leader, from his initial appointments and actions as a campaigner and president-elect?

he cant lead, he wont lead, he is too dumb to lead.
to lead you have to know where you are going and he hasn't a clue.
if the running dogs of the left - aka the free press - had done its job you and the rest of America would already know that.
the best he can do is stand there with his nose in the air, look down on people, and read what someone else writes.
he is a stone, or a block of wood - and i realize that is an insult to a stone and a block of wood.

We don't really know anything about Mr. Obama except that he knows how to run for president, and he knows how to deliver a speech. If those things make him a good leader, then he will be the best leader this country has ever had. If they don't, then he will be in leadership training class in the most important leadership position on earth. I'm still not certain what he did from age 25 to 45. You get what you vote for.

Never has a person risen to such a responsible position with such self-confidence in such a crisis with less reason and less experience. We as a nation are in a crapshoot.

From a campaign that promises that the economy, the war in Iraq, Gitmo cleaned out and every other problem would be fixed within a year by electing the Obamessiah, we're being told now that it might take many, many years…………………………
Something tells me, we were sold a bill of goods by a Chicago politician and we deserve everything we get. All lies! Every single one.
However, if you ever dare to call him on it, by God, you are prejudiced and a bigot. So stupid, it is believable.

"infantry11b4faus" - invariably the first comments concerning any favorable article about President-Elect Obama are from NeoCon sycophants who are vacuous to the point of being bereft of any ideas or relevant observations. You are a case in point. What is your education? What are your qualifications? President Elect Barack Obama has distinguished himself at every turn and envisages character, dignity, emotional maturity and a grasp of a wide array of issues and challenges. I would suggest you widen your sources of information and actually seek to understand the international relations, economic and infrastructure, energy and energy security, social and healthcare issues etc. that face our nation and then attempt to critically assess Obama and the team he has relied on in the past and the one he is putting together for the White House before you randomly post again. His leadership is quite apparent given the extraordinary campaign that he ran relying on the power of community organizing taken to new levels with a deft use of social networking and other powerful internet-based technologies in a return to grass-roots democracy. He's your president too, though it seems you don't deserve someone of intelligence and character who has, is and will prove his capabilities of leadership. God Bless America.

Give Barack a chance to be president, then after four or eight years, one can fairly evaluate him as a leader. His leadership style as a candidate and nominee for president may not be the same as his leadership as president.
Despite his supposed voting record as one of the most liberal Senators, Barack displayed moderation and pragmatism in his campaign rhetoric, as well as choice of most advisers. His Cabinet overall is so strongly centrist, one wonders what kind of change, especially of a progressive nature, an Obama presidency will bring. Strong willed advisers often modify a president's inclinations. Reagan's moderate domestic and foreign policy advisers helped check some of his rigid hard-line tendencies.
His strengths include his gifted oratory, high intelligence and a sincere willingness to reach out to members of both parties to alleviate or solve problems. In all of these areas he is a contrast to president Bush.
A possible weakness, as demonstrated in his selection of high level advisers, could become an excessive reliance upon centrists, who generally have similar perspectives, instead of choosing more progressives, so Obama could be presented wider policy options. The analogy could to the "best and brightest" of the Kennedy administration, whose arrogance led to Vietnam and escalation of the cold war.

listen progressive you not progressive or independent!
the alleged progressives are actually regressives.
you want to have a king back - you want daddy to take care of you - to take everything from everyone and then be really fair and give it back.
well it did not work with kings and it did not work with socialism or communism. its a failure.
it took a dem named fdr to turn us into the nanny state. and his social security - you have to pay until you are 65 to get any money, BUT THE DEATH RATE WAS AT 55 when he started it.
notice how all those rich lefties keep their money, they just want everyone else to give more.
and lil hussein is a crook. he was bought by a fellon that gave him land for his special home. how many homeless do you think he has living there?
there is no proof he is intelligent - has anyone seen his grades, or his iq results? and the year he was law review, that was the year it was NOT based on grades, but was a popularity contest.
and how has he reached out to anyone. name one time he ever went against the dems to do something when he was a senator. he was the most leftist senator in the senate. name one problem he ever solved? oh he get elected becasue America was suffering from white guilt and thought it was time for a black president.
well he isn't black. he is whack or blate - white and black or black and white - but he isn't black. as a matter of fact he is first generation - his actual American roots are WHITE! and his black roots have nothing to do with slavery - he is africian.
and look up history for his islamic africian tribe. they were part of the islamics that went into central africia and took other africians to SELL INTO SLAVERY. looks like you got another slave master in the white house.
2 years in office, he did nothing, and now this marxist lighweight is president. luckly he cant screw EVERYTHING up in 4 years, but he sure will put a hurt on America.

Listen infantry11b4faus you are neither intelligent or credible. Your daddy Bushie was the slave master who catered only to the wealthiest among us.
Naysayers sit down and swallow you lies. You act as though PE Obama has been in office for years when in fact he has not yet been inaugurated.

From Obama's initial appointments. I am impressed that he is good at appointing people on their merits, without considering personal feelings ,He tried to appoint all the capable professional personnel with different background. I sincerely wish that President-elect Obama will keep his promise at the campaign for a real Change.America as well as the world need him to do so.
