Barack Obama as a Leader

he cant lead, he wont lead, he is too dumb to lead.
to lead you have to know where you are going and he hasn't a clue.
if the running dogs of the left - aka the free press - had done its job you and the rest of America would already know that.
the best he can do is stand there with his nose in the air, look down on people, and read what someone else writes.
he is a stone, or a block of wood - and i realize that is an insult to a stone and a block of wood.

We don't really know anything about Mr. Obama except that he knows how to run for president, and he knows how to deliver a speech. If those things make him a good leader, then he will be the best leader this country has ever had. If they don't, then he will be in leadership training class in the most important leadership position on earth. I'm still not certain what he did from age 25 to 45. You get what you vote for.

Never has a person risen to such a responsible position with such self-confidence in such a crisis with less reason and less experience. We as a nation are in a crapshoot.

From a campaign that promises that the economy, the war in Iraq, Gitmo cleaned out and every other problem would be fixed within a year by electing the Obamessiah, we're being told now that it might take many, many years…………………………

You are a case in point. What is your education? What are your qualifications? President Elect Barack Obama has distinguished himself at every turn and envisages character, dignity, emotional maturity and a grasp of a wide array of issues and challenges. I would suggest you widen your sources of information and actually seek to understand the international relations, economic and infrastructure, energy and energy security, social and healthcare issues etc. that face our nation and then attempt to critically assess Obama and the team he has relied on in the past and the one he is putting together for the White House before you randomly post again. His leadership is quite apparent given the extraordinary campaign that he ran relying on the power of community organizing taken to new levels with a deft use of social networking and other powerful internet-based technologies in a return to grass-roots democracy. He's your president too, though it seems you don't deserve someone of intelligence and character who has, is and will prove his capabilities of leadership. God Bless America.

Give Barack a chance to be president, then after four or eight years, one can fairly evaluate him as a leader. His leadership style as a candidate and nominee for president may not be the same as his leadership as president.

Despite his supposed voting record as one of the most liberal Senators, Barack displayed moderation and pragmatism in his campaign rhetoric, as well as choice of most advisers. His Cabinet overall is so strongly centrist, one wonders what kind of change, especially of a progressive nature, an Obama presidency will bring. Strong willed advisers often modify a president's inclinations. Reagan's moderate domestic and foreign policy advisers helped check some of his rigid hard-line tendencies.

His strengths include his gifted oratory, high intelligence and a sincere willingness to reach out to members of both parties to alleviate or solve problems. In all of these areas he is a contrast to president Bush.

A possible weakness, as demonstrated in his selection of high level advisers, could become an excessive reliance upon centrists, who generally have similar perspectives, instead of choosing more progressives, so Obama could be presented wider policy options. The analogy could to the "best and brightest" of the Kennedy administration, whose arrogance led to Vietnam and escalation of the cold war.

From Obama's initial appointments. I am impressed that he is good at appointing people on their merits, without considering personal feelings ,He tried to appoint all the capable professional personnel with different background. I sincerely wish that President-elect Obama will keep his promise at the campaign for a real Change.America as well as the world need him to do so.
