He had Shaq calling himself the big Aristotle-nothing wrong with that(on at east two levels-he had Shaq mulling over the idea that his happiness lay in developing his personal excellence, and, he introduced the biggest audience ever to Aristotle).
I admire him-he makes explicit, and clearer, what rolls around inchoately in the hearts of most of us-we suspect we are seekers and strivers for things beyond ourselves but we don't know how to do it. It may not be for everyone, but, I think Jackson's eclecticism is meant to challenge that.

Zen Christianity. It sounds as if Jackson may have discovered Gnosticism, the heretic Christian sect of about the time of Jesus whose spiritual philosophy was directed inward, much like the Buddhist philosophy. There are many truths available to those who discover the inner self {Jungian psyche being a model for such discoveries}. Transposed into the outward world of ego such philosophies have the ability to transform. And transform he did winning 10 championships. If only we could do the same with out politicians. Imagine the great bounties our nation would receive.
