Sharpen the Plan

The auto execs have paid their penance. They now have to sharpen their turnaround plan, creating a workable and credible strategy for saving their industry.

A key aspect will be a plan to save the auto dealers nationwide, who, in turn, can put pressure on their congressional representatives. A merger -- such as GM and Chrysler or GM with one or possibly two foreign auto companies -- may also be inevitable.

I FIND THAT LAWYERS MAKE EXCELLENT CAR CZARS AND I HAVE BOTH DOMESTIC & FOREIGN CAR EXPERIENCE, NAMELY, FORD AND GM ON THE DOMESTIC SIDE AND HONDA AND TOYOTA ON THE FOREIGN SIDE
