Realism Versus High Expectations
I believe that what President Obama has said is very realistic and appropriate. I am not sure that his message is being heard - especially by his fans. I am normally an optimist, but I believe that we are now facing historically unprecedented challenges.
My fear is that the expectations for President Obama are so high that they cannot be met by any human being. My hope is that he speaks candidly about the dire straits we are in, rallies the citizens of our country to help him, and clearly lays out the sacrifices that will need to be made in order for us to get out of the mess that we are in.
