True Team Player

Since I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where Whisenhunt was a tight ends coach and offensive coordinator for several years, I'll respond from that sideline. For the Steelers, success has been less about a elevating any one player to team leader and more about forging individuals, especially the defensive line, into a selfless, seamless unit that all but shuns the notion of individual recognition. Sometimes the greatest accomplishment of a leader, in this case Coach Mike Tomlin, is helping the experienced and the inexperienced see how the greater good is served by not standing out but instead by blending into a true collective effort.
