A Leader for One Season
Most organizations go through various life cycles and different types of leaders may be needed at different stages of an organization's life cycle (e.g., a start-up entity versus a mature organization). In addition, different leadership styles are required in order to engage in major turn-around or transformation efforts. In the final analysis, Boards of Directors have the primary responsibility to make sure that you have the right leader at the right time.
