An excellent replacement

Q: In confronting the issue of Gen. McChrystal's apparent insubordination, did President Obama have any choice but to remove him? Going forward, what can Gen. Petraeus do to overcome this dramatic shakeup and keep his troops reassured and on mission?

President Obama demonstrated decisive leadership in replacing General McChrystal for insubordination and his inappropriate remarks. Fortunately, he has an excellent replacement in General Petraeus, and his immediate appointment will remove any uncertainty about the important of the mission and who is in charge.

As for McChrystal, what a tragedy this is to damage a long, distinguished career in a single media interview, and with Rolling Stone, no less! It's hard to imagine what he was thinking, as he has plenty of experience in dealing with the media and with public opinion, or what he hoped to gain. He lost his way for a moment, and it cost him the most important opportunity of his career.

Decisive leadership? This guy wrote books on leadership and that article is the depth of his analysis into the situation? Your subordinates don't rip you in the press if you are showing any decisive leadership. McChrystal was an Obama supporter and he has clearly lost respect for the guy. This is just another in a long line of red flags that Obama is in way over his head. Canning McChrystal won't change anything. It is like treating the symptoms and ignoring the disease. How biased can the press be?

Bill George has a very selective memory. Remember when Barack was a Senator he gave a 7 minute lecture to Petraeus during Senate hearings basically telling him he was a failure in Iraq? Now we want him to take command in Afghanistan because he is such a brilliant leader?

All of you left wing mental giants are so biased you'd back BO Plenty if he told us we should all die a slow death of cancer. Oh that's right with BO in power I believe we are... Never mind....

One can get more factual news anymore from Pravda then u can in the US news media. That includes liberal, conservative, etc.... What a shame
