Building significance

Q: How do you define success?

For me, success begins when you consider each day as the basic "building block" toward something much bigger . . . significance.  My long-term goals are more focused on being a significant member of the communities I serve and the thousands I deal with in my personal and business life.

Significance is built daily by reaching out to people as a way to make a difference in others' lives as well as a way to explore and learn to enrich my own life. Connecting with many (professionally and personally) and sharing knowledge, resources, time and energy continually provides value to many others while coincidentally increasing my own.

I know I'm on the right track when I can end my day by easily answering two basic questions:
1.  What did I learn today?
2.  What did I give today?

If you're not learning and giving enough, you'll never reach the level of significance. What else is there?
