D.C. Council members and shelter providers were stunned to learn this week that the Fenty administration has cut $20 million from the city's homeless services budget for fiscal 2010. Sad fact is most of the chronically homeless are in need of inpatient psychiatric care. If you're a schizophrenic self-medicating with alcohol, just providing a bed doesn't *begin* to address the problem.

Why don't we confiscate the properties of the Wall Street cheaters and double-dealers and their Congressional lackies and open them up as homeless shelters? Put the previous owners out on the street and let them see how how life is without a lobbyist to fatten their wallet and sweeten their life.

Better yet, confiscate the wealth of any American that has over $10,000,000 and use it for the people of the United States.

It's immoral to be more wealthy than that. Of course, many Republicans are not Christian, so they wouldn't understand the Bible.
