I can't think of greater waste of money or time than reading Palin's book. I imagine it's nothing more than the same baseless drivel she's been spewing right along, packaged in a slightly different way...sort of like listening to Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck…yuk! You betcha!

I think Mrs. Palin got the idea from Facebook. You know, there's this column of information you can provide listing your favorite music, books, movies, heroes? I can't imagine anything more boring than to read an entire book-full of someone's favorites. Oh, and if anyone really thinks the content in the book is coming from Mrs. Palin's own viewing/reading, well, I've got a bridge to nowhere to sell you.

That's not just no - that's Hell no!

Posted by: triseven10 | May 12, 2010 10:41 AM

Not only will Palin NOT be writing this book, she won't be reading it either.

I'm sure her editors at HC are pouring over literature to tell Palin what she "likes" and what "inspires" her.

She is still obsessing about Couric's question about what she reads, and she is trying to prove that she reads.

ha, ha, ha!

I see in an on-line ad right next to this poll that Fiorina is using Palin as an endorder for her political campaign.

Fiorina will rue the day she signed on with the Palin Snake Oil Machine.

NO. I'd rather read a book by Elmo or Barney - she's an idiot!

Posted by: m1sty | May 12, 2010 12:39 PM

I'm with my Hell no buddy, but with the REMIX - OH HELLS NO!

Posted by: love2much SE | May 12, 2010 12:51 PM

Too dumb to read. Too stiff for toilet paper.

Posted by: dataflunky | May 12, 2010 1:08 PM

"Too dumb to read. Too stiff for toilet paper."

Eloquently put :P

Posted by: blitzerboy9819 | May 12, 2010 1:12 PM

As Palin says herself, "HELL, no!"

She is as deep as a petri dish & as dumb as a box of rocks. What the hell kind of "reflecting" could she possibly do--I bet she doesn't even reflect in her own mirror.

She needs to hurry home to her village in Alaska. They've been missing their idiot for quite some time now.

So Sarah's producing another tome. It's truly amazing that she will have written two books while having read none.

Posted by: lewfournier1 | May 12, 2010 1:38 PM

I was always taught it is wrong to encourage stupidity and laziness so no I won't be buying this book (didn't buy her last and won't follow her on any medium that might earn her a penny). It distresses me that this shallow and ignorant person makes any money - true there are the Jersey shore idiots and many more but they don't pretend moral superiority or slam every one who is not two-faced and Republican.

Posted by: Lemon7221 | May 12, 2010 1:40 PM

A book she didn't write about topics she doesn't have informed opinions about? I'd have to say no. God help us if she ever achieves national office.

Posted by: jamalmstrom | May 12, 2010 1:45 PM

No, I never buy books by people who talk without saying anything, like Sarah Palin or Barack Obama.

Posted by: WmarkW | May 12, 2010 2:30 PM

This woman is so desperate to join Dave Barry's Rockbottom Remainders Rock Band it's pathetic. I think the EPA ought to try to get an injunction on behalf of trees that are going to die in vain.

I wonder who they're going to get to read the audiobook version, now that Ted Baxter has retired.

Posted by: curmudgeon6 | May 12, 2010 2:33 PM

I do not plan to purchase Sarah Palin's book. I can buy toilet paper much cheaper by the roll, and unlike Palin's book, the paper is already used.

While I don't think we need to treat Palin abusively, there's just no way I'm going to enrich her by one cent. There are seemingly limitless ways to use my resources more wisely.

Just another sign that Sarah Palin still obsesses over President Obama. She wants the same notch on her belt as he has: two books written.

Trouble is, HER first one was "a lie on every page", and her unsuspecting, uncritical, incurious fan following never knew the difference.

So, this second book is likely to be real "reflections on family, faith, and flag" by other people, but fake claims by Sarah Palin that she ever read any of them.

The only book she is documented as apparently having read -- a picture, not a statement from her -- is the John Birch Society publication The New American.

I would like to see the reasoning behind the few that clicked "Yes". I can't stand the woman... her political stance, speeches, even her voice sends chills down my spine. But she still garners support from some place deep within the Republican bowels. How is this happening?!?!?! Why won't she just go away?!?!?!

Scariest phrase in the American English language: "Sarah Palin For President"

*Shudder & Cringe*

First of all, the so called book she wrote is not a refection of her acute intellectual lacuna.Somebody has done the writing job on her behalf. She is nothing but a hatred spewed rouser bent of pushing this great country back into a pre-civil rights area.Purchasing her book will be a enormous waste of hard money earned when at the same time she is collecting milions of dollars on gubby speech.

Let's be clear about this. This isn't her book. She can't put two simple sentences together. Some ghost writer is making her look much better than she is. So like the saying goes ... put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.

Posted by: topwriter | May 12, 2010 4:58 PM

What's left of the Constitution gives her the right to publish what she likes. I cherish that right.

That doesn't mean I need to dignify her fascist attitudes or the book it by purchasing it.

Posted by: poorrichard | May 12, 2010 5:23 PM

Has she written a book?!

Posted by: AMviennaVA | May 12, 2010 6:22 PM

I hope she washes the ink off her hands and hires a proofreader with a better command of the language. It is good that the 'teaparty' fascist movement has such an idiot for a figurehead.

Posted by: revbookburn | May 12, 2010 7:11 PM

Sarah Palin writing one book is ludicrous. Trying again doubly so.

Posted by: ravensfan20008 | May 12, 2010 7:37 PM

This "Christian?" got a taste of 'the good(?) life" in her brief political career and how to capitalize on gullibility to rip off millions, which is her REAL "god"!! The mean, nasty put-downs and lies that come out of her mouth have absolutely no HINT of "Christian" in them! Palin is a phoney!

Posted by: Maerzie | May 12, 2010 7:56 PM

Don't you think she has wasteded enuff of the American peepils time? Her 15 min of fame has turned into 1 hour. Its time she just go away...far...far....away. Forever.

Posted by: pt1836metz | May 12, 2010 8:52 PM

Palin's prominence tells us that the Know-nothing party in did not vanish from the American political scene in the 19th century but is still thriving in the 21st.

Posted by: asher_a | May 12, 2010 9:38 PM

The posters on here are too ignorant to read and if they could, too stupid to understand. Life is too short to need people like you.

Posted by: annnort | May 12, 2010 10:01 PM

This poll is funny. Really, did the Post expect something different of their readership? It's pretty much like asking people who enter a Starbucks: "Do you like coffee" (yes, no, not sure). I bet the poll would come out the same (with the few outliers who like tea, or came for the muffins).

Posted by: purpleaster | May 12, 2010 10:46 PM

Actually, I read the disclaimer. It's actually kind of like asking people who are actually *buying* coffee if they like it.

Posted by: purpleaster | May 12, 2010 10:47 PM

People that are considering buying her books, should do something positive. Instead of buying her books, which most of the time are filled with negative diatribes and personal attacks against other people, please donate the money to a favorite charity or to Bill Clinton's foundation to feed and help the hungry people in Haiti.

Posted by: fridaolay | May 12, 2010 10:49 PM

Another WaPo straw poll and Palin loses.

Posted by: knjincvc | May 13, 2010 2:16 AM

Where's the "ROTFLOL" choice?

But there will be enough conservative organizations doing bulk buys to put the book on the NYT best seller list before it's release.

Bloggers will get a free Palin book for every 1,000 posts that "Obama was born in Kenya. Where's the birth ORIGINAL certificate?"

Posted by: James10 | May 13, 2010 6:45 AM

Trick question. We all know the only writing Palin offered for this book is her endorsement on the back of the check from the publisher.

Posted by: joebanks | May 13, 2010 8:14 AM

There are really only two answers to this question...No and Hell NO!!!

Posted by: bproulx45 | May 13, 2010 9:19 AM

Sorry, I just don't purchase politically-motivated books...

Posted by: Robert_B1 | May 13, 2010 9:22 AM

I will purchase it in hard copy. I will then use it to beat her and her tramp of a daughter to death. Do you know how long it would take to beat someone to death with a small hard cover book?

Posted by: veronihilverius | May 13, 2010 9:38 AM

Lol! Who voted yes?

I thought you geniuses spent all your money on peak market Goldline gold.

Posted by: trident420 | May 13, 2010 9:54 AM

isn't this some type of literary porn?

Posted by: glenknowles | May 13, 2010 10:08 AM

who wants to read what somebody else wrote for this bimbo?

Posted by: calif-joe | May 13, 2010 10:22 AM

I don't think that I'll purchase a copy.

I know that I will not. EVER. Even under penalty of death I still wouldn't.
