'The View': Should President Obama appear on the show?

President Obama will make a return appearance to popular daytime show "The View" on Wednesday. "The View" ladies, notorious for their no-nonsense questions, last interviewed the President during his 2008 campaign. Obama will be the first president to appear on a daytime talk show. Many are questioning his decision to appear on the show. Do you think he should do it?

Absolutely he should go on the View. Any opportunity Barry can look Un-Presidential, Shallow and in Desperate Campaign Pandering mode the better for this Nation. The more he can demean himself the more likely he will slither back to his homeland in 2012. The View audience are a bunch of mindless unaware twits, his voters(if they even do)anyway.

Not a bad idea. The President has shown repeatedly that he relates to many groups of Americans on multiple levels. He will be asked so tough questions that, unlike W, he will answer. Only the idiot wife of a fourth string quarterback will ask moronic, irrelevant questions.

People like the poster fraudObama, is whats wrong with our country and human relations today....and it will never change because his once majority (white people) are dwindling very rapidly .....

Posted by: sshipman1 | July 27, 2010 2:19 PM

I can't imagine a tougher interview. All those unsensitive demanding hostesses on The View are sure to press him. Almost as tough as the softballs Chuck Todd sent his way!

Posted by: expostcarrier1951 | July 27, 2010 2:23 PM

How much less Presidential can this guy be.

SSHIPMAN1 exemplifies the hypocrisy of the left, slams FRAUDOBMA, ignores PJOHN2.

I think it is another idiotic move by our President and it does show that he has respect for the office which he fought so hard to attain. He is now a sitting president and I believe it is very unprofessional to join a show such as "The View". He is setting himself up for criticism as not paying closer attention to what is going on in this country. He is taking his job too lightly with all these idiotic public apperances.

Was the Cartoon Network not available?

Great idea, President Obama, appearing on the View. These ladies are just irreverent enough to ask the tough questions, which there should be answers.

However, READING COMMENTS from Post from the likes of "FRAUOBAMA and AKWAO1" is a real laugher, because it points out just far his presidency is just killing some of his enemies.

Just think they are going to have at least six more years of angst of his presence, as the most powerful man in the known universe, AND HE WILL NOT KNOW OR CARE THAT THEY EXIST.

But they, as right-wing and Rush Limbaugh "Lemmings" will remain in a constant snit chewing at their hands while holding their remotes each time President Obama appears on television. Delicious?

When I saw this poll I felt sure it would bring out the most severely affected victims of Obama Derangement Syndrome - and here you all are. I suggested to my bigoted 80 year-old co-worker that she try watching the President on the View, but of course the revelation that he's an intelligent, articulate, responsible leader would give her an aneurysm.

Next week this bafoon is going on Sesame street. Adolescent votes are critical since he lost everbody else. What an jackass.

The View is an absurd program. It's just a bunch of old hens doing what they do best - cackling.

Posted by: adrienne_najjar | July 27, 2010 3:26 PM

How are the women of The View any worse than people like Chris Wallace, or the utterly forgettable gentleman who's taken over Meet the Press, or half the reporters in the White House press corps, or any of the other blowhards in the "real" press? For all we know, the women of The View might even get an actual question in, and then follow it up with something relatively difficult. It would put them well ahead of the majority of political reporters if they did.

Making fun of air-headed daytime talk shows made more sense back when the MSM still had the spine and sense to do its collective job.

Posted by: dkp01 | July 27, 2010 4:32 PM

Absolutely, President Obama should go on the view, those ladies ask questions and doesn't "JUDGE", like some of the Foxnews bloggers, calling names etc.
If you have no "LIFE", you call names and point the fingers, this makes you feel better about yourself.

Adrienne_najjar; Do you know those old cacking Hens on View?, well enough to call them out of thier names. You are a SAD PERSON.
What i don't understand is you bloggers are "BAD-MOUTHING", people you don't know, but listen to an American who say he love terrists, Check out YOUTUBE VIDEO.

Gee, I'm going to tune in because I know those ladies are going to ask him some TOUGH QUESTIONS. When he spews out B.S in answering one of their "tough questions" I'm quite certain they will FOLLOW UP and point out that he didn't answer the question. I know those View ladies, and they are really tough on Marxists.

Going on The View cheapens Obama and the Office of the President. It's so transparent why he's doing it: To get back white female voters. Next I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on the Playboy channel to get back some of those departing males. Just plain sickening!

Posted by: Rehcab1 | July 27, 2010 4:53 PM

...Rehcab1, why would he go on Playboy to get male voters? Do males who consume Playboy actually pay attention to the articles?

Posted by: dkp01 | July 27, 2010 5:02 PM

Easy photo opt for O. They will be sooooooo kind to him.

Agreed. I don't know if it's because the President is trying to play it cool or if he's infatuated with the celebrity aspect, but until December, this is the wrong
stretch of time for celebrity junk like this. I like President Obama, but he's a little tone deaf to populist (not r-wing,republican or tea group, mind you) disappointment and disillusionment with his compartmentalized focus on the economy and jobs. It's as though he believes all he has to do is occasionally talk about the economy. That faulty logic is a deathkiss for any Democrat up for re-election in November.

Oblamer on the view. lol lol lol
This guy is so ridiculous - sure go on the view. maybe they can have Rev Wright on as well

lol lol

Posted by: rdb2 | July 27, 2010 5:44 PM

More than any President that I can remember, this creep belongs on The View. He does not belong in the Oval Office!!!

Posted by: Kateri2006 | July 27, 2010 5:57 PM

There are MANY problems this country is facing right now and he's busy running for office? If I'm an unemployed person sitting at home during the day, I don't want my president playing celebrity, I want him working on the economy. Seems like the biggest problem in the Presidents eyes is the fact his poll numbers are too low!

Posted by: luvtheskins428 | July 27, 2010 6:12 PM

let him go on the view and any other show he wants listen up folks, HE IS THE PRESIDENT, he can do whatever he wants, and you're still mad, he won.

Posted by: ninnafaye | July 27, 2010 6:53 PM

Why not go on? I wish I was at home during the day to watch The View; especially with the President on the show.

I would hardly call watching the news on the major networks, ABC, CBS, or NBC, watching serious news. They are so full of feature stories and fluff... and don't mention the AM shows...after the first newscasts they all become candy land.

Posted by: publisher5 | July 27, 2010 9:42 PM

Good Grief...The NPD Sociopathic dual profile is desperate for attention.

Women will boycott the show now.

Is there no sanctuary from this JOKERs face???

At least people might watch Rev Wright on the view.

Posted by: dottydo | July 28, 2010 1:05 AM

People don't get it...going on the View is all about being seen...the view has a vast audience and any free publicity is a plus...

Of course the Prez is not going to be dumb enough to embarrass himself or get caught up in rhetoric...a plus all the way around..what's to lose?????

Most males here never look at the View and consider it just another chick talk show and dismiss the hosts....In their minds the only credible talk shows are on Sunday mornings...sad.....

Posted by: pentagon40 | July 28, 2010 12:02 PM

The View is no worse than some of the "interviews" conducted by White House correspondents; or other so called journalist. The View is what it is...

Posted by: rlj1 | July 28, 2010 2:02 PM

Better for him to go on the View than to spout his liberal garbage to Boy Scouts.

Posted by: solidimaging | July 28, 2010 6:56 PM

Idk hes to much in the media. He needs to act like a president and stop bein a media whor*.

Posted by: jennifer0000 | July 28, 2010 8:36 PM

It is embarrassing for our Nation to have our President appearing on the View, an entertainment TV show with a few barely educated, heavily biased women. What ever happened to the U.S.President being a Leader with a high level of Dignity and Class?

Posted by: musicwizard1 | July 29, 2010 2:49 AM

The Jerry Springer show would be a little classier.

Posted by: panola60 | July 29, 2010 5:41 AM

A bad sign. He's getting desperate. Very unpresidential.

Posted by: Afraid4USA | July 29, 2010 7:12 AM

That's the way to interview him!! Get three ladies who will grovel at his feet and fawn over every comment and gesture he makes to ask him those REALLY TOUGH questions... like "how's the dog?", "Did you enjoy your vacation(s)?", and "when are you taking the kids (Nancy & Harry) to Disneyland?"

Can't our President find something better to do with his time that campaigning on TV talk shows?? What a maroon!!

Posted by: Greg_12 | July 29, 2010 11:33 AM

Why not? It's great that bottom feeders can get together. It gives people a chance to see how idiots perform.
