Did Jerry Brown call Meg Whitman a 'whore'?

In a private conversation inadvertently captured on voice mail, Jerry Brown, California's Democratic candidate for governor and his aides discussed their intention to portray his GOP opponent, Meg Whitman, as a "whore," the L.A. Times reported. It was unclear whether Brown or one of his aides called Whitman the slur.

These "polls" that now accompany so many Washington Post articles--they are an incredibly dumb-and-dumber way to "report" serious news.

What's next from the Post? A "reader poll" for the NWS weather report?

So,since all is fair in love and war and
politics, prehaps Meg Whitman might want to
consider calling Democrat Jerry Brown, a
"Government Leech" since after all just like Barack Hussein Obama, the fact remains that Jerry Brown has a lifetime career of
living large off the California taxpayers.

I first met Jerry Brown when he was an undergraduate at Berkeley. I came to know him better during his campaign for the gubernatiorial nomination in California in 1974, an election he won against a formidable field of opponents (17 as I remember, some of them pretty tough customers). I have never heard him use that kind of language about an opponent, no matter how vicious, or in any other context.

Character is what you do and say when you think no one is watching! Brown & his goons are sexist & N.O.W is nothing more than a dating service for lesbians.

Jerry Brown has devoted his whole life to California. I was around for his whole career. He was a good governor, a good mayor of Oakland, and a good Attorney General.

This man is the real deal. He is wry, and can be blunt, but always tells it like it is. He was good for California and will be even better now. This man knows the ridiculous problems California has with its term limits, 2/3 majority on budget matters, and is aware of how to circumvent and deal with Sacramento.

Now, for this remark. We are not children. Backroom politics is what it is, and to get all huffy and priggish about a remark said by an aide is childish. The important thing to remember is that Jerry Brown was not the one to make the remark, and more importantly, he refuses to make concessions on the Police Pension Fund. Isn't that what California needs? He is doing what the Whitman campaign claims he won't do, stand up to the unions. She, evidently did. End of discussion.

Why is she spending 120 million of 'her' own money, remember she was a CEO of ebay and when you are a CEO you can rob the customers and share holders with impunity and call that hard work-- to work as a governor of California for a mere $200k probably it can't even cover the salary of her drivers, gardeners, baby sitter, household help etc. No she is running for California governorship to cut taxes for her and her friends. No more no less. Is she a w--re? I guess yes if you are hired to do the dirty job you may as well be one. VIVA Jerry Brown.
