Seriously, the day before Veterans Day your headline reads "Which uniform do you like best?"

Don't editors edit anymore with an eye for context?

Sheesh.

Yeah, I totally thought it was a poll on which branch's uniform was the best. Seemed wrong.

I really hope the Wizards get new uniforms. They aren't throwback Tampa Bay Buccaneers ugly, but they are ugly. And ideally they should get a new name too.

aren't the Nats showing off new uniforms today? Funny time to be running this poll

Honestly, although some not as bad as others, none of them are good.

* The Redskins uniforms are historic in that they really haven't changed (minus the awful yellow and the R helmet) and the burgandy and gold are as much Redskin as Sonny and Riggo.

If the 'Skins were to change their uniforms I would like to see the indian profile replaced with the old arrow. That was very cool.
* The Wiz uniforms are not a bad color but the logo and name are a joke.

* The Mystics uniforms aren't bad, but again it's a dumb team name and they don't have a fan "buyability" factor.

* DC United has the best logo, but the VW symbol makes the uniform more billboard and less uniform. I know they need the ad dollars, but it kills the jeresy quailty and wastes a great logo.

* The Nat's W is classic, but the red is to orange. The uniforms wit the number on the front is dog butt ugly. The best looking Nats uniform is the blue with the red, whit and blue W. Their red hat is classic and shouldn't change.

* All in all the Caps have the best uniform, but the white jerseys are sharper than the red.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

The Nationals curly W has to go. It is too much like the Walgreens logo. Not only that, it harkens back to the dreadful second Senators franchise of the 1960s. Why should the transported Expos honor that franchise when it played no bigger role in the history of DC baseball than the Homestead Grays, much less the original Washington Nationals of Walter Johnson? It is just a marketing gimmick for a certain age group remembering their youth and the Frank Howard team. I wish they would come up with an altogether new name and uniform.
