THE QUESTION

Time for Roger Goodell to Crack Down on Bounties?

From Buddy Ryan to Terrell Suggs, should the NFL really try to eliminate player bounties and if so how?

Darvin :

Buddy Ryan actually had bounties, Suggs is just a moron who opened his mouth on the radio. He was trying to appear hard but now he will ended up getting fined by Goodell. On top of that he better have his head on swivel this weekend cause someone will lay him out.

Haze Heinz :

Heinz Ward is one of the dirties players in the league. Just last week he breaks Keith Rivers jaw but does the league fine him? No! Do they suspend him? Not a chance! So why should Suggs get in trouble for speaking out and calling a spade a spade.

OZZIE :

Just let em play, the refs are out there for a reason and people are getting fined for stupid hits already. Who cares if they want to cast one player or another as an antagonist to amp up the defense? It's not like they were planning on jumping Hines Ward after the game...

Real Game :

Ozzie, you miss the point. Of course they won't jump him, but they are offering cash to take him out of the game. Football should never be about taking people of any game literally. It should be about outplaying them not hurting them. People like you are what makes US hockey a game of thugs and NASCAR more like demolition derby. Sport is not street fighting or NBA Jams. There are rules.

Ohio- Steeler fan :

Heinz Ward IS NOT the dirtiest player in the NFL.....He just plays harder than any receiver as a blocker....HE PLAYS FOOTBALL HOW IT SHOULD BE PLAYED....He didn't get fined because, it was a CLEAN block!!! Football is also a mental game, so when he plays he tries to make it mental and it works for him...Do you know some of the rough hits have came from him because of the racist remarks he recieves from some of the players that he hits??? If you cant stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen!!!

IT'S FOOTBALL, NOT BADMITTEN :

Haze Heinz doesn't have a clue about football. the block was perfectly legal, and in many ways, a textbook block. Ward had his head up, didn't launch himself, and made a good shoulderpad to shoulderpad hit. It was in the area of the play and actually provided support for the running back. Ward didn't break River's jaw, he broke his jaw when he hit the ground. It was unfortunate the injury occurred, but it was a good clean hit.

HAZE :

Dear: IT'S FOOTBALL, NOT BADMITTEN, what you said essentially is that Ward bulled the trigger but he didn't kill him, the bullet did. What planet of retard do you live on exactly and is it near the 3 rivers?

Iron Man :

The wussificaiton of football is nearly complete. All we need is for the League to start giving away an award for good sportsmanship. What ever happened to the Dick Butkisses and the Chuck Bednericks and the Lawrence Taylors?
