Turner the Burner and Ryan have been invaluable pieces to the Post-Vick Falcons. Turner is no doubt the best pick-up and Ryan a contender for the ROY

Here is a name that no one has mentioned: Calvin Pace. That's cause even for people who understand football the outside linebacker position can be one that's tough to judge. Most people will look at the numbers like sacks and tackles. With 39 tackles and 4 sacks, Pace is on pace to have a solid season but not one that would apparently justify his 22 million garaunteed. However, the real turnaround that has come is in the overall defense stats in NY. The Jets have gone from allowing 135 yards per game in rushing to 76. Additionally, their 3rd down shutdown rate has improved from 57.8 to 59.6. That is a huge increase for a stat that has a range of 5 percentage points separating best from worst. All that translates to a new winning attitude in New York, and along with Broadway Brett, Calvin Pace was the biggest pick up of the off season.
