defense wins championships

W/O the terrible turnovers, the Steelers could easily be 10 and 1 right now. The defense is special right now, and has stopped every running attack, including the Giants.

Tony V :

Have a feeling the Steelers are going to peak at just the right time this year and go on a similar run that they went on to win the superbowl...

The Titans just peaked too early... and it went to their heads

Steelers will choke. It's all about Atlanta this year. Ryan is the new Rothlesberger

Baltimore Ravens :

The NFL and it's fans love to ignore the town and it's teams. Nobody said a thing up to close to Super Bowl time in 2000. They are up and coming. They threw the Eagles in the ditch last Sunday. (bang bang bang on the desk) Pay attention.

TheDr :

Keep an eye on Washington. If they can get into the playoffs out of the brutal NFC East, they could be dangerous. Their D is one of the better in the league, both against the run & pass. Their O has one of the best WRs in the game (Moss), a great RB (Portis) and a productive and punishing ground attack, an athletic, accurate, smart young QB who's finally coming into his own, a very good O-line, and a fiery young coach who isn't afraid to roll the dice. Watch out for the Skins!

OfficerMancuso :

As a displaced yinzer I have to go with the Stillers, but keep an eye on those rat birds. Baltimore has all the pieces in place to make a run at the Super Bowl. The piece no one believed in, pre-season, was Flacco, and he's looking pretty good - better than any Balto QB in recent memory.

Jets? An untimely playoff interception will destroy their hopes. Thus it ever was with the prima ballerina behind their center.

I can't see Baltimore going anywhere this year. Flacco is very good, and just what Baltimore needed. However, in his rookie year, he's having trouble delivering with the veterans. In recent weeks they have merely been on par with their talent level. They have failed to do anything extraordinary: beating the bad teams, losing to good teams, meanwhile struggling somewhere in the middle.

Scott L. :

If I were the Giants, the Skins and 'Boys are the most dangerous. The Redskins will expose some of the Giant's weaknesses this Sunday and win the game, 24-14.
