What's more entertaining, filling out your NCAA pool brackets or drafting your fantasy football team?

Anybody who thinks the NCAA tournament is on a par with NFL fantasy football is a mentally challenged unstable human. March Maddness reminds me of a tasty snack. Its quick, tasty but hardly a meal. Fantasy football draft day is a whole season+ in the making and it comes with all the trimmings, you know like friends, beer smack talk. Who could ask for more?

I am not going to go so far as to say people who prefer the NCAA dance to fantasy football are crazy, but I will say it is like comparing steak and spam, to continue the food metaphor. Fantasy football is so much about skill. You have to know the players and know the game. Plus you compete against what maybe 12 people. That rewards good decisions. I think that March Maddness is just that, MAD. People who win the pools aren't better handicappers, they're just lucky. When you havde 65 teams to pick from across 6 rounds it leads to unpredictable varience on a level that no one can understand. And then the average office is pool has what like 50 people going for it. If it were actually about skill why is it usually won by some lady in HR who picks her teams based on how cute the unis are?
Gimmie a break bracketologist, I can't believe you actually have a job. The only people more full of it are weather men.

The fact that you are reading this board right now instead of working should be a clue...March Madness is FAR superior to NFL Fantasy as a participatory event because so many more people can get into it. Your wife, your boss and yes, even the little ol' lady down in HR can claim a stake just by filling out a single sheet of paper.
There is a place for Fantasy (nerds have to have some fun too), but it is too much like work. If I spend a week hunch over a spreadsheet, I'd like to get paid for it.
To be successful with your brackets you don’t need to read every single statistic and analyze game-film, you just need to combine a little bit of knowledge with a little bit of analysis and then hope you step in a big pile of lucky. Do you pick the team with the higher road FT% or the school that the hot chick you met at Spring Break attended? I prefer the hot chick rule myself :-)
Copy machines all over America are humming right now because the great American sports mania is upon us: March Madness!!

It is all about the gambling anyone who thinks otherwise is missing out on the big picture. What motiviates the people to venture to play this game are the stakes and the action, nothing more. Football and college b-ball owe their success to Vegas odds makers

Obviously the brackets are more entertaining because it only lasts a couple of weeks and there is an increasing chance that an underdog may win the championship, who are these fantasy football people and why dont they get a life, take a walk in the park, smell some flowers, have a conversation with your family..
