Which team should go after Terrell Owens -- and why?
bowiemdh: Any place and I mean any place but the Redskins..TO has a serious attitude problem and hell last season he complained so much about no ball ...

T.O. should come to the Redskins. He's an amazing football player. He speaks his mind and plays hard. He does not temper his words, which makes him an easy target for the idiotic media and journalists who have never played a down in their lives. Keep him in the NFC East. Let the drama unfold as the Skins play the Eagles twice and the Cowboys twice. He's a perfect complement to Santana Moss.

I think he will land in Detroit. Sort of trading places with Roy Williams as the complement to Megatron. I think the fans up there would love him since they haven't ever really had to deal with his drama, and perhaps Culpepper could deal with TO like he dealt with Moss and revitalize his career.

I have been a Redskins fan all of my life, but as God as my witness, if they sign TO I will pack away my burgundy and gold jersey and find another team to follow. My brother just moved to Sarasota and the Tampa stadium has a cool pirate ship, so maybe Tampa Bay.
TO is a disruptive influence and a good, but not great, player who's best playing days are likely behind him. In any event his talent is not worth the disruption and grief he brings to the locker room. Did we learn nothing from the odious Jeff George episode?
Where should he go? The Raiders have always been the Island of Misfit Toys in the NFL. Although I hate to wish him onto anyone, maybe there. But if any team signs Michael Vick, maybe they can get TO as a twofer. Great QB, good receiver, both social pariahs with arguable mental health issues-- could be a good fit.

I don't care where he goes. He should go anywhere that will still tolerate him, so long as it's not here in Washington.
We need a team player, not a narcissistic superstar mouthpiece with a $100M contract. He is a great athlete, but this doesn't make him a great player. His physical ability is more that outweighed by his ability to poison team chemistry. He has shown this time and time again.

Let's make Terrell Owens a Redskin. What the heck. Is he going to PREVENT this team from winning a Stupor Bowl? I think the offensive and defensive lines have that handled, thanks to The Daniel Snyder and The Vinny Cerrato.
What the heck does it matter? It's not like we're building a franchise or anything.

T.O. should/will be a dirty birdy. #1: He claims the ATL as home #2 He's only 150 miles away from his real hometown in Alabama. #3 Roddy White and T.O. makes sense; plus Matt Ryan can get the ball to him no matter where he is on the field.

I think hate is too strong a word. Despise might me more accurate. You ask why? HE criticized his first QB and claimed he was gay. He treated Donovan McNabb like dirt while Donovan is one of the classiest guys in the game. Yes TEAMS win super bowls and that is part of the problem, TO doesn't realize this fact. He will tell you to your face how much he likes you and supports you then stab you in the back. Don't cry for TO. He got a $12 million bonus for signing his last contract so he will not soon appear in soup lines.

Raiders are the perfect team for T.O.
Al Davis loves these guys.
It's too bad Owens is such a brat. He's one of the greatest wide receivers ever. Look at the difference between him and Jerry Rice.
Rice simply played with relatively little complaint and has three Super Bowl rings.
T.O. has a need to attack his own teammates and coaching staff.

No team should go after T.O. They've all seen the movie series from prequel to sequel and everyone knows how it ends. From fears to jeers to tears (see Photo above). Now some NFL club or organization may pursue Terrell, see Oakland Raiders, Cinncinati Bungles, Washington Deadskins. But I repeat no NFL team (Steelers, Patroits, NY Giants) should waste the time, money, stress, emotional wherewithal or team image, required to appease Owens for a year or two. Just ask Romo, McNabb, or Garcia. He's a Quarterback and team slayer. Plus he loves him some him entirely too much!

Owens is 'damaged goods' because of his ability to cause bad blood in the locker room. So for me, it all depends on the price. I would consider signing him if the deal could be canceled by the coach without cause. I doubt he would touch the offer and that's fine too.

It truly baffles me how individuals that know nothing about the game, but has chosen a team to hoot and holla over knows everything about professional football and the temperment of every player that plays in the league.
Before I state my opinion about T.O., all I will say is remember Randy Moss. You same people talking foolishness about T.O. had the same foolishness to say about Randy when he was with the Vikings. You listen to the media, in which if the media focused on you they could probably bring a case up, and that is what you believe. It always 2 sides to a story no matter the story or how many times it happens. Yeah, I know, I get tired of it too, but that's the card the media play, and you fall right into it. Just imagine this, all of the individuals on this board shooting ugly, rude and disrespectful shots at T.O., if you can do this to some one you don't know personally, I can only imagine what you would say or do to people you actually know. Should these people you actually know wish you to hell?
I am not a die hard Redskin fan, what that mean is, depending on who they are playing will dictate who I choose in that game. I do not dislike them. but like Thomas from an earlier post stated, if the Redskins did pick up T.O., which I to feel would be a great deterence for Santa Moss, they will never get the ball to him because of the weak offensive line. Jason Campbell will stay on the ground. That should be the focus and not T.O.
If the Redskins took T.O., it wouldn't bother me. I think T.O. has a lot left in him and maybe, just maybe, his desire will rub off on some of the other under achievers on the Redskins roster. And for all that believes money changes character or should, people are still people. Some people, probably on this blog probably feel T.O. get paid all of this money and he should be a certain way because you feel he should be a certain way. I doesn't work like that! people use all sort of gimmicks to get up for a game.
In any event, T.O. should go to any team that wants him and respects his talents as a great wide receiver in the National Football League. Especially to a team that has a chance to win it all and could truly use his talents. I don't believe in the media and I don't think the guy is as bad as they try and portray him. Remember, anything out of the norm in your or their world is considered a henderance. The world does not revolve around you or the media. If it did, the guy would have been out of the league a while ago.

The NY-Giants or the Washington Redskins are the most logical choices for Mr. Owens services, he'll fit in nicely in either venue. Mr. Snyder likes the attention, and throwing away money on opportunities good sense can't buy. The Wellington family [in N.Y.], who, in their mind, thinks their entitled to every Superbowl championship known to mankind, are a couple of fine candidates. In any event, whomever of the remaining teams in the NFC-east who [he] has not played for, decides to enlist Mr. Owens services, that gives the rest of the division a leg-up. Think about it. No teams has won anything significant while Mr. Owens has sat on the sidelines brooding over money or playing-time, or lack-there-of. Go ahead, walk-up onto the gallows and place the noose around your neck and sign the Owens contract as you grab-hold the trap-door with the other. Go ahead, I dare you.
If you want to be an "also-ran", sign him, Dan. Your "Waterloo" is around the bend, Wellingtons....

He should just go away... he's not going to help any team in the long run. Think about it, there's always a honeymoon period with each team he has played for... a year of showing how everyone gets along, smiles, etc. Then when a team struggles - and every team inevitably struggles - he chirps at the QB or others on offense and demands the ball, claiming that's the solution to the teams woes. Basically, he thinks he knows how the offense should be run... not those nutty, brain-dead coaches who think they know it all. And the QB? What does he know? And to stress his point that "T.O. knows winning," he solicits players on both side of the ball to side with the T.O. camp. He's a cancer not because he's a bad guy, but because he's convinced he knows how to win and the owner, GM, coaches or other players just don't get it.
So, if teams want ONE decent year of football with team cohesion and they don't mind the divisiveness, disruption and problems lurking after that first year, go ahead... sign him. Jerry Jones, an eccentric, egotistical man who thinks he's omniscient made the mistake of signing T.O. Others should learn from Jerry's poor decision!

Honestly, lets toss out all the teams that are being speculated right now. TO wont be going to the Skins, Ravens or Jets. TO wants a SuperBowl ring more than anything at this point, more or less to only fuel his ego even more. He also wants to prove all the other teams that kicked him to the curb wrong. So guess where he is going? New England better be ready for this guy. T.O. has always been jealous of Moss and how he turned himself around and was able to join a team and win a SuperBowl. The Pats will up a good amount of dough for him. Sure less than others but I honestly believe TO is going to be looking for that ring this time, instead of just the dollar signs........i know that sounds so unlike him, but really its all about his ego still and getting that ring will make his head so much more bigger than it already is. So be ready New England!

Oh my God! NO!!!! The man is a hemerrhoid who causes confusion and pain in every locker room he enters. The last thing Campbell needs is is confusion on an option when he can't help but think, "If I throw it to RandleEl, TO might be upset."
Save us from this!

Any place and I mean any place but the Redskins..TO has a serious attitude problem and hell last season he complained so much about no ball time but when he got the time he dropped or missed the ball. Hey I know put him in a chap stick commerical...hell he spent more time putting that on those hugh lips than paying attention to what was happening team wise.

T.O. should go to the Raiders. A declining diva receiver and a declining diva owner - a perfect marriage.
