Didnt the Cardinals go 9-7 last year and were within 1 play of winning the SuperBowl? Steelers were 6-6 back in, what 2003, won 4 straight to end the season and won another 4 in the playoffs.

Don't count the Patriots out until that game clock says 0:00 in the 4thq and youhave more points than them. On any given week, even if their defense is suspect, they are capable of outscoring anyone in the league.

The Pats are over, Belechick is done. They have a whimper or 2 left and maybe a wild card but they arent even the best team in the AFC East anymore. Brady is on the decline, and once he's gone they'll be back where they started with a head coach who likes to cheat and a city that prefers the Red Sox.

They probably aren't competing this year even if they make the playoffs. They are rebuilding on defense and it is definitely showing. The defense needed to be rebuilt. I think they may have went overboard with the Seymour deal though. They probably should have kept Vrabel as well to help mentor the younger LB's. I don't know that I would call them a dynasty but they will still be a playoff contender for a few more years.

Brady and pats have won so many times, the jig is up now and its not his fault. One can only maintain the winning edge for so long. Rebuilding is necessary and possibly relocating brady may be worthwhile as it occurred for Montana in Kansas City.Brady is unlikely to have success in the playoffs.

Belichik was overrated from the start but he gets some credit for the victories. Now, Parcells would not be gambling when points can be had through field goals. Patriots would likely have won the games against colts and dolphins if they had kicked the field goals. Belichik should be fired and brady allowed the freedom to call his own plays.

Patriots are suffering because of the hubris of their coach. As long as they have Brady, Moss, Wilfork and Welker the dynasty is intact. Trading Seymor was a worse decision than going for it on fourth and two in Indy. But they're still a force to be reckoned with.

The Pats are still a very good team, but they are not and never have been invincible. As a Miami fan, I was thrilled at the narrow win at Landshark stadium on Sunday. My own opinion is that it was more about the determination and skill of the Dolphin defense than about the Patriots. That said, you can never count them out. Yes, their defense needs work, but their offensive squad is always capable of scoring from anywhere on the field. If Brady had not been pressured by the Dolphins on the last series the game could easily have gone the other way.
