Not enough end zone dances. Clearly this the real reason.

Because they a bunch of racists and hicks that stole a team from a predominently black down and put it down in white bread city USA.

Because they are quitters. The Colts had a chance to make history by going 19-0, and even though they had clinched the bye week, they went in the tank against the Jets and Buffalo. Peyton's little charade was pathetic -- he was perfectly happy to take himself out of the game until the boos began raining down from the stands. The Colts are gutless quitters who do not deserve a Super Bowl ring this year. The Patriots didn't make it all the way in 2007, but they died trying, while Peyton spent a game and a half polishing his helmet on the sidelines. And that is why I hate the Indianapolis Colts.

For those of us who live in Maryland, Indianapolis is easy to dislike. They left in the middle of the night, taking a name that reflects Maryland's horse racing heritage. I was never a Colt fan even when they were in Baltimore; there is something about those bland uniforms that turn me off. But I still respected their proud tradition. I haven't warmed to the Ravens either, but at least they didn't take Cleveland's name.

Peyton Manning is an irritant.

Peyton's irritating.

In a word? Baltimore.

Go Saints!

Because "snuck out of town" used to be just a metaphor.

ditto acasey2. ditto sckershaw. ditto wmarkw. The BALTIMORE Colts were a proud franchise that represented their home town well, and 12 years was way too damn long. Go Saints!

Peyton Manning is part of the problem.
He behaves like a spoiled brat - pounding the ground and getting angry when things don't go his way. He is also one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, a true money player. He is at his best when the heat's on.
The other part of the problem is the city of Indianapolis - an overblown, angry, racist cowtown.
I will be pulling for the Saints to win.
But I wouldn't bet against Peyton Manning.

I hate them because of Tony Dungee's references to a god, especially after the Superbowl win.

Like a god cares if you won the Superbowl, or that a god gave you and your team the strength to win.

acasey2 Ditto...thank you!

Irsay. Running away. Leaving Baltimore in Mayflower vans packed with Colts equipment...in the middle of the night. A secret deal with strangers that Baltimore doesn't have a chance to participate in, let alone counter. Playing the fans and city like chumps. Bold face lies. I will always hate the man, the family. Go Saints.

BOOWHO-WHO! Cry me a freaking river Baltmore. You all sound like the smallest, bichiest violins in the world. You couldn't afford to keep the Colts so guess what? THey moved to a better city. Their here in a place where the city has pride in them and itself. You have your Ravens. That is a much better fit with murderers and crack addicts. It suits you Baltimore. See you in Disney World after Peyton wins another.

They may be unpopular in Baltimore, but otherwise I've never heard of a signficant dislike for the Colts.

Thanks, DUTCHVON,

Your rant helped to emphasize others comments as to just what Indy's about. And I'll add semi-literate to the mix.

Here's your 1st post: "Because they a bunch of racists and hicks that stole a team from a predominently black down and put it down in white bread city USA."

And then here's your 2nd: "BOOWHO-WHO! Cry me a freaking river Baltmore. You all sound like the smallest, bichiest violins in the world. You couldn't afford to keep the Colts so guess what? THey moved to a better city. Their here in a place where the city has pride in them and itself. You have your Ravens. That is a much better fit with murderers and crack addicts. whose side you on, bro?

Though I felt like the jilted lover when the Colts snuck out of Baltimore, I still love this team. They aren't into a lot of flash. They are steady and consistent--a thinking man's football team. I hope that Caldwell gets the win as a rookie coach and Manning gets the props he deserves when the Colts win the Super Bowl game today.
