I do not agree with this but thats the way it is in Football.

What the heck kind of backassward poetry is that TSWNINE? 1 the Pats should not lose, they just remembered how to win. 2 you don't get in trouble in football or baseball for resting your top players so they ready come playoff time. And 3 WTF you talking about??

And all those teams that "tank" the game, or do not tank but rather rest their players... I assume that all their fans will call for refunds and rebates and complain about having bought snacks and jerseys, etc. durin a game that wasn't taken seriously?

Dungarees,

While I agree with what you are saying, what you described happens each and every year. It's called preseason football and those tickets cost just as much as the regular season tickets do, and are required to be purchased as part of the season ticket holder package.

I don't have a huge problem with resting starters since it's each team's responsbility to do well enough in the regular season to make the playoffs. That whiny Steeler that is saying there is a conspiracy to keep them out of the playoffs can stuff it.....try not losing to KC, Cleveland, and Oakland (at home), then you wouldn't need to be whining about this.
