GEAUX SAINTS!

"We're South Louisiana. We dance even if there's no radio. We drink at funerals. We talk too much and laugh too loud and live too large and, frankly, we're suspicious of others who don't.

Everybody loves their home, we know that. But we love South Louisiana with a ferocity that borders on the pathological. After all, we've been rooting for the Saints for 43 years. That's got to count for something."

Before the playoffs began, in a bracket "contest" at "The New York Times" website, I selected Indianapolis to win the Super Bowl against Minnesota. One intercepted pass prevented this match-up from happening. However, I hope New Orleans wins, only because the people of their city deserve a cause to celebrate.
