THE QUESTION

Fix OT first?

With the NFL's competition committee scheduled to discuss a new proposal to change its overtime format for playoff games, is the overtime system actually the rule most in need of change?

What do you mean that OT needs fixing. IMHO OT could not be fixed without tearing down the whole system. What's the point of that? Fix the problem with letting drug using gangstas (yes I spelled it like that) into our league first of all. Then worry about the OT system.

The overtime rule that begins with the coin flip could be eliminated if the NFL rules were that if the coin flip winner at the begining of the game choose the recieve the kick-off,then if the game went into overtime, they would be required to kick the ball in the overtime period.
The teams with this rule in place might re-think always recieving the ball at the beginning of a game and may want to start with defence!
It sounds fair to me.
