THE QUESTION

Are the Steelers losing their luster?

Is the NFL's model franchise falling in line with the rest of the league's teams amid the allegations surrounding two of its top players?

Big Ben and Santonio are in trouble again? The luster is gone. Get used to hearing this Steelers fans: "Charlie Batch, incomplete pass intended for Mike Wallace..."

Pretty funny. You've got a team with a Racist Name and Uniform here in the Nation's Capital picking up every A-Hole - LJ, CP, Fat Albert - they can find. They're owned by a Little A-hole and you're taking shots at team that's won more SB's than anyone?? Just because their All-Pro QB is an idiot?? No one would ever take me for a Steelers fan but I gotta say that's some kind of weak question especially coming from this paper of all places.

At least the Steelers don't pursue proven troublemakers like other organizations.

Also, I'd probably still take Charlie Batch or Dennis Dixon (who showed some flash against the Ravens last season) than Jason Campbell. I'm not saying Campbell was always a bust or that he doesn't have ability. I just think he was completely mishandled and his in-game confidence might be shattered beyond repair. He would be a very serviceable back-up QB.
