Going to Oakland would be good for McNabb. The Raiders have three good backs, backs who are better than what the Eagles currently have. Have no worse receivers than what McNabb has been used to in 11 years (sans T.O. and DeSean Jackson), have a good TE in Zack Miller and defensively the Raiders are pretty stout (ask the Iggles and Steelers) with the best shutdown CB in football in Asoughmaga and a Hall of Famer on the the defensive line in Richard Seymour. Plus, the Raiders play in the AFC West where the only threat is San Diego and even without L.T., is this San Diego team a threat to run the ball? Couple all that together and the Raiders seem to be no worse than the current Eagles team McNabb is leaving. Plus, 34 for a mobile QB is not old. Yes, the organization is dysfunctional but McNabb going to Oakland would breathe life into that place and possibly be good for at least 9 wins. And the players confidence would skyrocket playing for him and the person who needs him to be there the most is JaMarcus Russell, who needs to learn from McNabb what being a professional NFL player entails.

I agree that Oakland would be much better with McNabb under center, but he would rather be sent to a team with a better chance of winning. They do have a few good pieces, but the entire franchise is highly disfunctional. He would be hailed as a savior in comparison to JaMarcus and could negotiate a fat contract extension from the senile one.

I guess we are about to find out if Donovan can help turn around a struggling franchise. I'm an Eagle fan living in DC area. Donovan stilkl has something left in his tank, but this past year I came to the understanding that it is time for the Eagles to give Kolb a chance. The Redskins need to bolster their OL to give Donovan half a chance, but he is definitely better than Campbell has been. His problem with the Eagles has been innaccuracy, throwing behind, over, or at the feet of open receivers. Plus he seems to always throw a fast ball when a softer touch is needed. I will be rooting for Donovan, except for those two games each year.

MISTAKE MISTAKE MISTAKE...

Would the Eagles have traded him if they thought he could still play?? To a Divisional Opponent no less???? I think not - the Leadership on this team got HOSED and therefore so did we the fans..

Thanks again Danny boy...

I hope this means they will keep Colt around. No need to draft a qb or try to bring in someone that needs to get familiar with the Organization.

Who really cares? The DC Football team gets another past his prime star. Anyhow, the Capitals rule!

sounds like the Snyder days again. More old veterans in exchange for draft choices. Is Vinny back?

Most contending NFL teams have a good starting QB and a good back-up QB. Ours are only fair. Whichever role McNabb eventually fills we'll get an upgrade from fair to good. Hopefully, we get a decent lineman with our remaining top draft pick.

I can only hope that this will be a repeat of the Norm Snead Sonny Jurgensen trade. We fared extremely well then and I am sure that McNabb can give us the time to actually find our feet and gain the momentum we need. Not forever, but for now.

JC is somewhere doing the happy dance, because now he can get the hell outta there!

Just another distraction. He will bring nothing but a lot of talk. The problem is the ownership of the team.

The Good: McNabb seems to want to come to DC.

The Bad: The offensive line still in pitiful shape.

McNabb brings instant credability to the offense and locker room. Let's be honest here, I was a JC fan, but he just didn't get it done. With some help up front, and a running game (which Coach is building)McNabb can be successful. I believe we are headed in the right direction.
