Fantasy Check Live Double OT

There were so many questions during the Friday chat that we here at Fantasy Check had to go to double-overtime for a second straight week. Here are some more questions as you get ready for today's games.

Garrett Park, Md.: Gene, help!

Eli Manning or Matt Schaub?

Brandon Marshall or Lee Evans?

Fantasy Check: Schaub is due for a monster game, and Evans is a part of an offense that will need to score a bunch to stay in the game against New Orleans.

Washington, D.C.: Hey Big Guy,

What's your thoughts on hometown running back Clinton Portis? And would he be one of two starters this week if you also had Giants WR Steve Smith and Lions RB Kevin Smith?

FC: There was mild panic on Friday when it was revealed Portis had bone spurs in both ankles, but Coach Jim Zorn told reporters he expected Portis to be "ripping around." Count on Portis to play, and yes, I'd start him and Kevin Smith, who had a nice game against the Vikings and will be a big part of the Lions' offense.

Washington D.C.: I have Turner, Felix Jones and Ryan Grant. Turner's a must-start every week but while I like Grant, I wonder if Jones might be a good play with Barber knicked-up? Am I on to something or just thinking too much?

FC: First is appeared Barber was going to be out one to two weeks, then Barber gave a thumbs-up as he headed to the practice field on Wednesday. Now ESPN is reporting the Cowboys are considering holding out Barber on Monday night. If that's the case, Jones deserves strong consideration in your starting lineup.

Baltimore: Gene,

Enjoy your chat. Who's the better play this week: Chris Johnson, Larry Johnson or Ahmad Bradshaw? Thanks.

FC: Chris Johnson, despite what appears a difficult matchup.

Mean Gene: I need to start one of these in my flex: Percy Harvin, Knowshon Moreno, Donald Brown, Coffee or Jonathan Stewart (an you tell I'm a big fan of rookie running backs?). Coffee is obviously not the start until Gore gets hurt. I'm leaning toward Harvin in my flex. I have Peterson and Kevin Smith as my other RBs, but I'm a little concerned about Smith up against the Redskins defense. What say you, Mean Gene?

FC: I think Percy Harvin a nice option, but Kevin Smith is worth considering too because Washington will be so worried about stopping Calvin Johnson. Remember Kevin Smith had 93 yards from scrimmage against the Vikings, who had the No. 1 rush defense in the league last season. That Minnesota-San Francicso game could be a really low-scoring affair, and it is worth noting Harvin was listed as questionable on the injury report.

KOTH: What is the Gene Wang lock of the week?

FC: I could go with the obvious, but I don't think anyone wants to read about Adrian Peterson or Drew Brees as locks. You could get that anywhere and any week, so I'm going with Brandon Jacobs, who should have a monster game. The Giants are a running team, and they got away from that in a victory over Dallas last week. Count on the Giants to get Jacobs involved early against the league's 27th-ranked rush defense that's surrendering 168 yards per game.
