Projection vs. Production: Week 2 QBs

Let's start with the top 10 projected quarterbacks in Week 2, according to Fantasy Football Nerd's aggregate ratings based on some of the best fantasy sites on the Web.

This week the experts got it mostly right, with the exception of Tom Brady, whose actual fantasy points were well below his projected total. Still, it's significant to note the expert aggregate rankings were on target by listing Brady as a lesser play than Joe Flacco and Trent Edwards.

Truth be told, if anyone had asked me to pick a starter among those three, I wouldn't have hesitated to pick Brady. I don't think anyone in the fantasy world is ready to concede Flacco or Edwards are better plays than Brady, regardless of matchup.

Anyway, here's the list:

1. Drew Brees
Projection: 19.6 fantasy points
Production: 30 points (based on standard scoring that includes six points per touchdown pass and one point per each 25 yards passing)

2. Kurt Warner
Projection: 19.4
Production: 21

3. Brett Favre
Projection: 18.1
Production: 18

4. Peyton Manning
Projection: 17.5
Production: TBD

5. Aaron Rodgers
Projection: 17.4
Production: 20

6. Matt Ryan
Projection: 16.8
Production: 26.

7. Flacco
Projection: 16.7
Production: 19.

8. Edwards
Projection: 16.7
Production: 23

9. Tony Romo
Projection: 16.3
Production: 17.

10. Brady
Projection: 16.3
Production: 8.
