Projection vs. Production: Week 3 RBs

As usual, projections are courtesy of Fantasy Football Nerds, and scoring format is standard, non-PPR:

1. Fred Jackson: 19.4/9
2. Maurice Jones-Drew: 18.4/31
3. Adrian Peterson: 17.3/9
4. Willis McGahee: 15.7/18
5. Matt Forte: 15.3/10
6. Ryan Grant: 14.7/9
7. DeAngelo Williams: 14.4/TBD
8. Darren Sproles: 14/5
9. Clinton Portis: 14/4
10. Chris Johnson: 13.9/9

Notice a trend here? All but two of the top 10 exceeded their projected totals, only Jones-Drew far surpassed them, and it took his best game of the season to do that.

Forte has been a burden for those who drafted him. Because Forte was drafted in the top five in most leagues, owners feel almost obligated to start him.

His performance on Sunday at least gave Forte owners hope. He had 106 yards from scrimmage, which buys him at least another week in most starting lineups. Plus the Bears play Detroit in Week 4, have a bye and then play Atlanta, which is giving up 136 rushing yards per game.
