The League

Fantasy Check

Fantasy football tv show set to debut

Yes, you heard right. "The League" -- a new comedy on FX, not The Post's Web forum dedicated to all things pro football -- premieres tonight at 10:30.

Here's a synopsis of the series, according to FX's Web site:

"Set against the backdrop of a fantasy football league, The League, FX's new original comedy, is about friendship, marriage, parenting, and growing up . . . or refusing to grow up."

The show stars Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll and Jon Lajoie, whom many of you may know from his irreverent YouTube videos that have generated more than 200 aggregate views.

The show's co-creators are the husband-wife team of Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer, who by the way has ties to D.C. as a Georgetown alum.

That got me thinking since I graduated from Georgetown too, maybe that could be my in to a national television gig? Stay tuned.
