PvP: Week 4 Running Backs

Here's your weekly top 10, with projections courtesy of Fantasy Football Nerd:

Adrian Peterson: 21/TBD
Cedric Benson: 18.3/8
Chris Johnson: 16.7/11
Muarice Jones-Drew: 15.7/9
Steve Slaton: 14.8/20
Matt Forte: 14.7/19
Ronnie Brown: 14.1/23
Tashard Choice: 13.9/7
Steven Jackson: 13.4/7
Pierre Thomas: 13.2//18

Two of the biggest overachievers were Kevin Smith and Knowshon Moreno. Smith was projected at 8.2 and was good for 17 fantasy points thanks to a pair of short rushing touchdowns.

Moreno's projection was 7.6, and he finished with 13 points. Moreno owners also should take note that Broncos starting running back Correll Buckhalter left the game on crutches. That probably means Moreno getting more work and elevating his fantasy value.

Benson was the biggest disappointment, finishing 10 points below his projection, and Jackson continues to be a fantasy bust, primarily because he plays on a really bad team.

On a positive note, Forte owners finally had reason to celebrate. He had a breakout performance on Sunday with 140 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. The Bears have a bye this week, then get Atlanta. That's another favorable matchup for Forte.

Slaton owners also finally got the type of performance they had been expecting out of their RB1. He had 89 yards from scrimamge and two touchdowns.
