Fantasy Check

PvP: Week 10 quarterbacks

The top projected quarterbacks for the most part didn't disappoint, with all but three exceeding expectations.

As usual the top 10 come from Fantasy Football Nerd's aggregate projections. Here's the list, with projected points followed by actual points.

1. Drew Brees: 24.6/20
2. Peyton Manning: 20/37
3. Ben Roethlisberger: 20/7
4. Aaron Rodgers: 19.4/20
5. Brett Favre: 18.6/19
6. Kurt Warner: 18.6/25
7. Tom Brady: 18.6/33
8. Philip Rivers: 17.9/21
9. Tony Romo: 17.3/17
10. Donovan McNabb: 17/30

The biggest overachievers were Manning, which is a remarkable accommplishment considering he was the No. 2 rated quarterback this week, along with Brady and McNabb.

Speaking of Manning and Brady, Sunday night's game was as good as it gets for fantasy players who own either player. Manning was his usual brilliant self, and Brady clearly is back in 2007 form after a slow start recovering from knee surgery last season.

Meantime, Roethlisberger, perhaps the only other quarterback who deserves mention with Manning and Brady as the best quarterbacks in the NFL, was the biggest underachiever with 174 yards and no touchdowns. It was Roethlisberger's first game without a touchdown pass.
