PvP: Week 10 running backs

Chris Johnson led the way among the highest rated running backs entering Week 10, surpassing his projection by almost 10 points.

That's especially significant because Johnson was projected for 25.4 points as the top running back play this weekend, according to Fantasy Football Nerd's list.

Here's your top 10:

1. Johnson 25.4/35
2. Ray Rice: 22.5/15
3. Adrian Peterson: 22/26
4. Michael Turner: 19.3/11
5. Frank Gore: 17.1/18
6. Maurice Jones-Drew: 16.8/20
7. Steven Jackson: 16.7/23
8. Thomas Jones: 16.3/13
9. Pierre Thomas: 16.2/3
10. DeAngelo Williams: 14.8/12

Jones-Drew deserves special recognition for his apology to fantasy owners who started him after kneeling on a run that was sure to be a touchdown. The strategy worked as Jacksonville kicked a field goal with three seconds to play, leaving no time on the clock in a 24-22 win against the New York Jets.

Outside of the top 10, Ladell Betts was the biggest overachiever. He was projected for seven points and finished with 17 as the replacement for Clinton Portis, who may not get back on the field this season.
