PvP: Week 10 wide receivers

If you had a projected top 10 wide receiver this week, you most likely were disappointed. Only Reggie Wayne and Randy Moss exceeded expectations, while the rest of the top 10 underperformed.

Here are the projection vs. production results from Fantasy Football Nerd's top 10 for Week 10:

1. Larry Fitzgerald: 16/13
2. Wayne: 14/24
3. Marques Colston: 13.8/1
4. Vincent Jackson: 13.8/1
5. Moss: 13.4/29
6. Hines Ward: 12.2/2
7. Chad Ochocinco: 11.9/2
8. DeSean Jackson: 11.6/9
9. Roddy White: 11.5/9
10. Wes Welker: 11.4/9

The list of underachievers is especially crowded this week at wide receiver, with Colston, Vincent Jackson, Ward and Ochocinco all narrowly avoiding the dreaded fantasy collar. Other underperfomers included Miles Austin, whose two points were well below his projection of 10.7.

The biggest overachiever outside the top 10 was Brandon Marshall, who was projected for 9.2 points but accounted for 25.

Sidney Rice also continued to make a case as an elite WR1 with 201 receiving yards, good for 20 fantasy points. Rice was projected to score 10.7.
