PvP: Week 11 running backs

Ricky Williams was the only member of Fantasy Football Nerd's projected top 10 running backs who significantly exceeded expectations this week.

Here's the projection vs. production list:

1. Chris Johnson: 23.3/15
2. Maurice Jones-Drew: 22.2/13
3. Adrian Peterson: 21/9
4. Ray Rice: 17.6/13
5. Steven Jackson: 16.6/17
6. Ricky Williams: 16.1/30
7. Rashard Mendenhall: 14.6/17
8. DeAngelo Williams: 14.5/14
9. Kevin Smith: 14.4/20
10. Frank Gore: 14.1/11

Ricky Williams became a viable RB1 candidate as soon as Ronnie Brown went on injured reserve, and he should be used as such the rest of the season. He'll continue to get 20 touches per game and is threat to score from long distance and at the goal line.

Outside the top 10, Matt Forte was a major disappointment again. His seven points were half his projected total, and barring a major resurgence during the final six games, Forte is destined to be this year's top fantasy bust, followed closely by Steve Slaton.
