PvP: Week 8 quarterbacks

It was a mixed bag this week for the top 10 projected quarterbacks according to Fantasy Football Nerd.

For the first time this season, Peyton Manning underperformed. He threw for 347 yards but was held without a touchdown in a 18-14 victory over San Francisco.

Here's the complete list:

1. Manning: 22.8 projected points/ 13 actual points
2. Drew Brees: 21.3/TBD
3. Aaron Rodgers: 20.4/34
4. David Garrard: 17.8/7
5. Philip Rivers: 17.7/15
6. Tony Romo: 17.5/29
7. Matt Schaub: 17.4/12
8. Kurt Warner: 17.3/21
9. Jay Cutler: 17.2/12
10. Donovan McNabb: 16.5/28

Two of the biggest overachievers outside of the projected top 10 were Brett Favre, who more than doubled his projection (15.1/33), and Mark Sanchez, who nearly tripled his(10.1/28). Better yet, he wasn't spotted eating a hot dog on the sideline.

Garrard was a complete disaster for fantasy owners in a matchup against Tennessee that should have been favorable. Instead he passed for 139 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions.
