Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers led the way among the best quarterback plays this week, while Joe Flacco was the biggest disappointment in that group.
Here's the top 10 as projected by Fantasy Football Nerd:
1. Tom Brady: 22.7 projected points/21 actual points
2. Peyton Manning: 22.3/18
3. Rodgers: 22.1/30
4. Drew Brees: 20.4/19
5. Donovan McNabb: 20/15
6. Matt Hasselbeck: 18.9/19
7. Rivers: 17.8/27
8. Flacco: 17.2/7
9. David Garrard: 16.9/18
10. Alex Smith: 16.7/24
The overachiever of the week was Kurt Warner, who was projected to score 16.5 points and produced 40 by tying a career high with five touchdowns in a 41-21 victory over Chicago.
In that same game, Jay Cutler also had production much higher than his projection. He was the No. 15 quarterback play this week, with a projection of 15.3 points. He finished with 33 points, throwing for 369 yards and three touchdowns.
Tampa Bay rookie Josh Freeman also got into the act by throwing for three touchdowns and 205 yards in his first NFL start. That production was good for 26 points. He was projected for 9.6 and ranked No. 24 heading into Week 9.
