Running back projections: Week 9

It's just about unanimous: Maurice Jones-Drew is the No. 1 option at running back this week according to 10 of the top fantasy sites.

Jones-Drew has a perhaps the most favorable matchup of the week against Kansas City, and he's coming off a game in which he ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

FFToolbox projects Jones-Drew for 18.5 fantasy points, one-tenth of a point better than Frank Gore, who has a favorable matchup against Tennessee. Chris Johnson (at SF), DeAngelo Williams (at NO) and Michael Turner (vs. WAS) round out the top five.

Behind Jones-Drew on Fantasy Football Jungle's list are Turner, Williams, Johnson and Ray Rice (at CIN).

Bruno Boys projects Jones-Drew for 22 points and Turner for 20 points. Close behind are Cedric Benson (19, vs. BAL), Ryan Grant (19, at TB) and Gore (18).

According to WalterFootball.com, it's Jones-Drew, Johnson, Williams, Rice and Grant.

FantasyGuru.com's top five: Jones-Drew, Rice, Johnson, Williams, Turner.

FFToday: Jones-Drew, Gore, Rice, Grant and Johnson.

NFL.com: Jones-Drew, Rice, Johnson, Williams, Gore.

ESPN.com: Jones-Drew, Turner, Williams, Gore, Rice.

And CBSSports.com: Jones-Drew, Rice, Williams, Johnson, Grant.

KFFL was one significant site that had Jones-Drew third behind Williams and Johnson, with Rice fourth and Gore fifth.
