PvP: Week 13 running backs

The top projected running backs underperformed as a group, none moreso than Adrian Peterson, who has one touchdown and two lost fumbles over his past three games.

Here's how the top 10 fared, with projections courtesy of Fantasy Football Nerd:

1. Chris Johnson: 21.3/13
2. Maurice Jones-Drew: 19.9/7
3. Ray Rice: 17/6
4. Peterson: 16.8/5
5. Thomas Jones: 16.3 /10
6. Frank Gore: 16.2/5
7. Rashard Mendenhall: 15.8/16
8. DeAngelo Williams: 15.4/DNP
9. Ricky Williams: 15.3/7
10. Steven Jackson: 15.1/11

Outstading fantasy performances from running backs were in short supply during Week 13, and they came from unlikely sources.

Former fantasy standouts Brandon Jacobs (9/9/22) and Joseph Addai (14/20) had resurgent performances, and Knowshon Moreno (11.3/20) continued to tighten his hold on the starting job in Denver.

Meantime, LeSean McCoy (12.6/2) had his second worst performance over the past seven games, and Marion Barber (9.7/3), Steve Slaton (14.7/DNP) and Gore continue to disappoint.
