Kansas City Chiefs Can Herm Edwards

From our NFL News Feed: "The Kansas City Chiefs fired Herman Edwards as their coach after a 2-14 season. The move came a week and a half after the team hired Scott Pioli as its general manager to replace Carl Peterson, who resigned as the club's president and GM. "After careful deliberation over the last week, Scott and I decided that it was in the best interests of the Chiefs to move forward in a different direction," Clark Hunt, the team's chairman, said in a written statement released by the club. "This was not an easy decision. Herm is an outstanding football coach and a man of integrity. We appreciate his leadership over the past three seasons, and we wish him all the best in the future." Edwards went 15-34 in three seasons with the Chiefs, including 0-1 in the playoffs. "Since my arrival last week, Herm and I have

Bucs Chuck Chucky

As was first reported by Mark Maske on the League's NFL News Feed: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have fired their former Super Bowl-winning coach, Jon Gruden, and General Manager Bruce Allen. The team missed the playoffs this season with a record of 9-7. "We will be forever grateful to Jon for bringing us the Super Bowl title, and we thank Bruce for his contributions to our franchise," Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer said in a written statement released by the club. "However, after careful consideration, we feel that this decision is in the best interest of our organization moving forward." But was it the right move for the Bucs at this time? Vote Here. poll by twiigs.com

Herm Edwards Out?

With Scott Pioli joining The KC Chiefs is the end neigh for Herm Edwards? Our Mark Maske is reporting that Edwards is likely to be fired: Few people around the league, it seems, expect Scott Pioli, just hired as the general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, to retain Herman Edwards as the team's coach. "A guy like that comes in to clean house and start over," said an executive with another NFL franchise, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he didn't want to be seen as meddling in the Chiefs' affairs. "I'm almost sure he'll bring in his own coach." Kirk Ferentz of Iowa and defensive coordinators Steve Spagnuolo of the New York Giants and Jim Schwartz of the Tennessee Titans have been mentioned as possible replacements for Edwards if he's fired by Pioli. The Chiefs are coming off a 2-14 season but have abundant salary cap space

Romeo Crennel -- Browns After narrowly missing the playoffs last season, Cleveland failed miserably to live up to expectations this year. Jack Del Rio -- Jaguars The Jaguars were supposed to contend for the AFC South title; they instead finished last. Herm Edwards -- Chiefs He plays to win the games, well, except for this season when the Chiefs won twice. Jim Haslett -- Rams It looked good for the first few games when he took over for Scott Lenihan, but not anymore. Marvin
