Niners Lose Third CB
The San Francisco 49ers plan to place cornerback Shawntae Spencer on the season-ending injured reserve list.
He is to undergo surgery for a torn knee ligament.
He has been the team's third cornerback behind starters Nate Clements and Walt Harris. Either Donald Strickland or Tarell Brown moves into that role now.
Spencer missed this past Sunday's game after being hurt the previous weekend.
