Did Favre Give Packers Info to Lions?
There are reports that New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre contacted the Detroit Lions before their Sept. 14 game against Favre's former team, the Green Bay Packers, to provide information about the Packers.
Fox reported that Favre spent 60 to 90 minutes on the phone with Lions coaches after being put in touch with the coaching staff by former team president Matt Millen.
The Wisconsin State Journal quoted a league source as saying it was "absolutely" true that Favre, traded by the Packers to the Jets in the preseason, provided such information to the Lions.
Favre denied the report to NBC.
Packers Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters after his club's victory Sunday over the Indianapolis Colts that the report was "disappointing" but declined further comment. Packers cornerback Charles Woodson was more expansive.
According to the State Journal, Woodson said: "I don't respect that. If they call him and he gives them information, that's one thing. But to seek a team out and to feel like you're trying to sabotage this team, I don't respect that. I know he's been the greatest player around here for a long time, but there's no honor in that.
"I've never called a coach on another team and told them what's going to happen. Obviously he says he wasn't bitter about what happened, but obviously there is a little bit of resentment there."
If the Lions did receive information from Favre, it didn't do them any good. They lost to the Packers, 48-25.

I think you people are idiots if you believe everything you here. Have you ever thought the rumor could have actually come from the Green Bay Packers, Coach McCarthy or even Aaron Rogers. His performance in that game was not the best, and maybe he was embarrassed. I don't trust the kid, he has a smirk on his face and is getting too big for his britches. He also is a baby and one of those players that is pointing at the referees complaining about a call. Ted Thompson gave Holmgren a hard time in Seattle. Maybe you should check his background, not the best. Afterall, Seattle fired him. I have no trust in this management after the dealings with Brett Favre. I just think if you people really believe this you are so full of yourselves. I think it is an inside job to make him look bad, regardless from where it comes. Woodson, you are an idiot too. Flapping your mouth when you do not know the true facts either. Think about it. I loved the packers but have a hard time with what they have done and who management is. McCarthy isn't the same either. For someone who has a bad shoulder, he sure did not look like it. Just a bunch of bull crap to try to play Rogers up to look good. I am going to cheer on the bears to win the division.

Rodgers only put up 328 yards with 3 touchdowns and no picks against the lions, I bet he was pretty embarrassed about that.
Good call on the shoulder injury too. After Rodgers faked it I bet the coaches purposely told the backup Matt Flynn to go three and out and chuck his first pass in the dirt to make Rodgers look even better.
Give me a break.
