Seat Getting Hot For W. Phillips
Things are getting very tense in Dallas. The first calls for the Cowboys to fire Wade Phillips as their coach have been issued.
Dallas Morning News columnist Tim Cowlishaw wrote after the Cowboys' loss Sunday in St. Louis that Phillips should be dismissed immediately by owner Jerry Jones with the club in a 1-3 rut.
"What has been gathering steam for a month reached something of a crescendo as the Cowboys played by far their worst game of the Wade Phillips era," Cowlishaw wrote. "And frankly, it should be the last game of the Phillips era, but Jones made it clear afterward that there will be no coaching changes made."
Indeed, Jones told reporters following the loss to the Rams that Phillips's job was safe.
"I think there can be a change in effort, intensity, those kind of things on each individual basis," Jones said Sunday, according to the Morning News. "But I'm not talking about the kind of change with coach or coaches or philosophy or some of the stuff we're doing scheme-wise generally.
"But it certainly for me sobers me up more than at any point this year about the job we've got to do to get a good team, hopefully a healthier team, to get in the position where we can compete at the end of the year. This is not the same feeling that I had with our other two losses."
Phillips's job security also was debated on the Fox studio show after the game Sunday.
It's an issue in part because Jones managed to retain offensive coordinator Jason Garrett with a hefty raise last offseason to keep him from being a head coaching candidate elsewhere.

HOW BOUT DEM COWGIRLS!!!!!
The whole team should put on a dress. They leave there nuts in the looker room before the game and can't play once they get smacked in the face. Bunch of sissies.
Teams know how to stop TO after the Skins got to him. Jam him hard at the line and his timing is done. Romo is just a big choker.
No team chemistry here, just a bunch of overpaid underachievers who expected to go to the big show because everyone else told them they would. They forgot that they still needed to play the games.
Ha Ha. This is the best..

I feel so bad for the cowgirls, boo hoo, boo hoo! Ok I feel much better now. For some reason there havn't been anyone around here wearing cowboy gear lately?
Hurt pinkie on QB'S throwing hand and their all pro safety gone for the year! The boys are done unless Jones can come up with some talent being paroled from Huntsville prison. Fire the coach! That will fix everything!

The day Wade Phillips was selected as Dallas Cowboys Coach I could not possibly see that it was the right choice. A nice man, but certainly not a good Cowboys Coach.
Jason Garrett seems to be the hope for the future of the Cowboys.
With the new Stadium coming along, Jason would certainly be our hope for our getting into the Super Bowl.
I hope that Romo will be back into the games, but not until he is in excellent shape.
