Testy Burress
Wide receiver Plaxico Burress and Coach Tom Coughlin reportedly exchanged words on the sideline Sunday after Burress was called for an offensive pass interference penalty and then an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for complaining about the original call.
According to reports by New York media outlets, Burress appeared to curse at Coughlin during the exchange. Coughlin told reporters during his postgame news conference that the matter was between him and Burress.
Burress served a one-game suspension without pay imposed by the Giants earlier this season for violating a team rule.
According to several reports, Burress also confronted an official outside the locker room Sunday to seek further explanation of the call.
The wide receiver reportedly was to undergo tests for a finger injury suffered during the game.
